/ 2021 / … Samuel Pepys lived during one of the most turbulent times in English history. He left us a detailed account of life in the 17th century London in his famous diary, which he kept for nine years. Through sheer determination and desire to succeed, he advanced his career to become the most successful naval administrator of the Royal Fleet during the reign of Charles II.
