Music you’ve heard a thousand times β written by men whose love history quietly deleted.
π A NOTE FROM ME: While making this, I found that Tchaikovsky’s own letters about loving men were locked away and censored in Russia for decades β and a government minister still denied it out loud in the last ten years. This channel exists to undo exactly that kind of erasure. From the court of the Sun King to the soundtrack of modern America, twelve composers who loved men β from a Baroque genius brought down by scandal, to a couple who built forty years together while it was still a crime, to the man behind Swan Lake whose own country spent a century straightening out his story. And I’ll be honest with you about the evidence. Two of these names are real question marks that scholars still argue over, and I say so out loud instead of pretending. No erasure β but no fairy tales either. We count up to the most famous of them all.
π Subscribe for the stories they tried to keep in the closet β honest history, no erasure.
