/ 2026 / … Paris has them. London has them. Milan has them: grand railway terminals surrounding the city center. These cities developed before the railways even arrived, so there was no room to build a single central station in the city center. The rails coming into town had to terminate at the edge of the old city. However, in one large European city these grand terminals are surprisingly absent: Berlin.
