It was supposed to be finished by 2032 but a leaked Metrolinx plan now points to around 2042. So what went wrong? In this video, I use a GO Transit simulator I built, which runs on real GO schedules, to follow one passenger across the network and explain every major problem behind the 10-year delay, from diesel locomotives and missing overhead wires to a $504 million write-off and a roof at Union Station that’s way too low.
